I have joined at least 7 different penny auction sites in the last year. They all have their faults but the real sign of a good company is how they handle their customers and the service they provide. I joined DealDash several weeks ago at the urging of some friends. I watched the site and auctions for several days to learn the patterns of some of the bidders and the behavior of the site. I would recommend to all new penny auction participants to take the time to watch auctions carefully before you jump in. I have been successful with most of the sites using this strategy. You also need to set a bid limit and when it's reached back out to play another day. Shortly after joining DealDash I experienced a problem with purchased bids not showing up or disappearing during auctions. I emailed their customer service folks and together we were able to find and fix the problem. Another thing to keep in mind is that DealDash gives you the opportunity to buy the auction item if you don't win. If you exercise this option you get your spent bids back. I try to only bid on items I would purchase anyway. If I lose the auction I can still get what I wanted as well as bids to play another day. Most of the other sites do not offfer this option or will give you a 50% credit on certain items. They also have win limits on most of the large items which gives everyone a fair chance to win something nice. As with all other auctions you will find bidders that game the system. Deal Dash has assured me they are aware of this and working hard to get these individuals off their site. Since my issues in week one it has been a good experience and fun bidding on their site. Of all the sites I have tried Deal Dash has been the most responsive and honest, willing to admit when an issue is on their end and not trying to blame the problem on you or your computer and internet provider. This should be enjoyable and you should have fun. Good luck to all and I highly recommend DealDash.
