I bought Grade B speakers.
They were faulty, in horrible cosmetic condition and I got refunded in a form of a voucher I can't use after 35 days since being returned
Faulty speakers:
One of the speakers was not working. It had a blown fuse. Customer support said, "we don't send items in this condition, this happened in transit". This doesn't make any sense. The only way the fuse could have been blown is if the speakers were hit very hard. However, the packaging box was in perfect condition and the speakers didn't show any such signs either.
Horrible cosmetic condition:
Both speakers' tuning knobs were bent, chewed on and weren't saying on to the metal pieces as they should. The speakers also had trash stuck onto them.
(check my trustpilot review for images)
Customer support:
Probably the worst customer service I've experienced. At first support team were ignoring my concers completely, but after I messaged them on Facebook, I started getting more response. However the responses were just them saying sorry, and that they are "investigating". They told me when they received the item that it was damaged in transit to me but they still needed to "investigate" for 30 days
Don't ever trade-in for a voucher:
I traded in my phone for a voucher thinking I'll be able to get myself audio equipment from them. I used my voucher to get the speakers, in good working condition, turns out they were indeed in poor and not working condition. Which would have been good to know before getting my money locked into a voucher.
I felt tricked. I was not able to buy what I wanted. And now I have 164£ locked into a voucher. It gets better...
30 days in I messaged them asking to return the money to my bank account and explained to them why returning the voucher was wrong. They said to me once the investigation is complete, they will get back to me to reach an "amicable resolution" regarding the refund.
Few days after they just sent me the new voucher codes.
So... essentially I got my voucher 40 days after I traded in.
Who would trade in their stuff to get a voucher after 40 days?
Im definitely staying away from CEX and advising everyone to do too. Unless you like to gamble (for no point really) and waste time.
