I have booked a room over the website ErasmusU in Barcelona. Right after the booking it became evident that I did not only had to pay the 500 Euro rent plus electricity (sum was no where mentioned), but also a agency fee of 500 euro on top as well as the provider fees listed by ErasmusU itself. The landlord did not react on my booking, that's why I decided to cancel it just 2 hours later. The policies of the website are formulated quite complicated in my opinion. In my understanding it should be possible for the customer to gain a full refund due to a not yet answered request by the landlord. However, ErasmusU refuses strickly to refund me the full amount. I belive this is not the best way to treat customers after all. In my case the company showed a very low level of goodwill and kept the fees (eventough there was no service actually used). With this in mind I wish I have seen the other reviews here before I took the decision to use this platform.
