Hendrik and Fred Meijer must be turning over in their graves. Where do I start. Grew up in Grand Rapids and had weekly trips to the quonset hut store with mom. Today's stores are nothing compared to back then:
Customer service is just c r a p.
Political statements in the store ARE NOT OK. Can't stress this enough!
Bare shelves need to be addressed—this is not due to supply issues as carts of product are sitting there in everyone's way, waiting to be unloaded.
I am NOT on Meijers payroll; therefore, I want the option of a real cashier without waiting in line for 30 minutes.
If I wanted Walmart, I'd shop at Walmart, which may end up happening.
Come on Meijer—keep your stores in line with the vision of the founders.

Lost store space due to Sephora, they discontinued many items and departments. It used to be a fun store to poke around in and find good things/deals. Now, the deals are way too complicated and require a lot of hoop jumping, and regular items are disappearing. They're supposed to be a retail store carrying retail products, not politicizing what they do and don't carry (and I'm not a righty). They've lost a lot of business according to stock reports. Just too sketchy for me to continue to try to support

Placed a regular order as a representative, paying as usual by PayPal. Then started getting past due notices. Called customer service who I could barely understand but was told I had to PROVE that I paid. Got with PayPal who was thankfully helpful. But I had to send Avon a physical printout of my payment. Month goes by so I called to find out if I was cleared of the false no-payment, and they said oh yeah it's good. I mean, what?!?! I quit being a rep at that point and now getting promos to rejoin. Are you kidding me?! I'm never going to rep for Avon again and have them screw up their records and come after me for their mistake. Also beside the point is they discontinued good products in favor of high-priced junk no one wants. Good luck Avon, you're dying
