While Lidl is still not as competitive in prices than Aldi, it certainly offers overall much better deals than Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's, and I was impressed by its latest price roll back initiative for fruits, vegetables and salads. That is clearly the way to go to end greedflation!

While other supermarkets like Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury's are in full greedflation, Aldi manages to keep the prices for essential products down: Just look at juice, non-sweetened soya milk and bread. The competitors' "Aldi Price Match" schemes speak actually volumes about their inability to compete, as it merely highlights that most of their products are more expensive than Aldi's. And if there is occasionally something less expensive, then it is usually not available. Asda's JS juice was a sad example of that. If you want to stop greedflation, better go to Aldi.

Lidl is one of those supermarkets you'd think oh god, I wouldn't want to be seen dead buying...
