I bought a pair of shoes online size 38. When they arrived they were too big but they were a size 39. I contacted the company who said they send the next size up because of size difference in different countries. As much as I like the shoes I am a regular size 38 and the 39 size are still too big. I requested a refund and expected they pay the postage because it was their mistake.The next email told me people often are happy to accept a discount and keep the shoes or I would have to pay the cost of postage back to China which is expensive. I was surprised because on the company bio it says they are a British company and I know I have consumer rights. Then they offered 50% discount and keep the shoes but I still leaves me having paid £20 but still have a pair of shoes I cannot wear.
No reply since this email so I thought I had better cut my losses and accept 50% discount or post the shoes back and asked for the address. Again no reply. I contacted my card provider and raised a complaint. They refunded me my money. I have since seen reviews of other customers with this same story!
