I wanted to reserve an apartment in Paris for June 2023, reservation subject to approval of the owner. His answer was supposed to reach me within 24 hours. 3 days later, still nothing. I try to contact Booking.com but to contact them is almost impossible without a reservation number. It seems that Booking has never considered a situation where you would have a problem before you even have a reservation! Stupid!
Well, I end up getting a phone number, I explain my case, Booking apologizes (that's a shame!) but is unable to explain what happened. Then Booking tells me that the accommodation in question is still available on my dates. So they know exactly which accommodation it is. So, because I hadn't kept the name of the accommodation, I ask Booking to give me the name again, so I can book (or try to...) again. No answer for 5 days, and as many emails. Very frustrating and unpleasant experience.
Booking's customer service is a joke, they don't give a damn about their customers.
