Judging from other reviews, this seems to be a common practice. My story:
6/5/19: I ordered a chainsaw teeth sharpener. I get a reply email the same day: "we're getting your order ready to be shipped. We will notify you when it has been sent."
6/14/19: Email from company: "Your order is on the way", including a FedEx tracking number.
6/24/19: Order not received; checked FedEx tracking number: "This tracking number cannot be found, please check the number or contact the sender." Reported problem to company. Prompt email reply (from "Mavreen D.", Customer Service Representative) apologizing and promising to look into it, and instructing me to contact them again in 2 days if I don't hear from them.
7/9/19: Order still not received, and no response from company. Emailed them again; no response.
