I say "was" because they sent an e-mail to all their partners that they are filing for Bankruptcy Chapt 7 (see below). And our clients got scammed big time. They also have a DBA called "HC Square" https://www.hcsquare.io

We should have seen it coming... They have extremely insistant sales, almost anything you ask is promised to be included, and they offer a compensation for your time learning the infrastructure and preparing your client setup.

In researching further, we found out ther sales rep (Shakir Qureshi) worked for Zenith Infotech / Vue Telepresence (now defunct as well) before. Same deal there: you had to buy their hardware and it was supposed to include the cloud back-end. Then one day everything got shutdown and your clients end up with useless overpriced appliances.

Nuvolat's model was to offer a complete turnkey solution including dedicated servers, storage, backups, Soc2-Type II datacenter hosting with gig connections from multiple ISP, VMware + Veeam + Cylance licenses, maintenance and support of the VMware infrastructure, and they used a leasing company (DE LAGE LANDEN FINANCIAL SERVICES, INC.) to bundle everything into a 36-months lease. This way they get paid everything upon signature of the lease by the client.

Once your client has signed the contract, the sales and management team will no longer respond to you. Only techsupport will provide VMware/Veeam assistance. For all the issues you'll raise about undelivered promises including written proofs, they'll respond that management didn't indicate anything. You will also never be paid the compensation they promised. And because your client is on the hook with the leasing company, nothing can be done.

The evil part about this scam is that NUVOLAT is representing to the leasing company that they are only selling servers. So as far as the leasing company knows, they are only financing overpriced Cisco servers. So if you have any problem with software, support, internet, etc. you can't complain to the leasing company.

And now worst of all: they are declaring bankruptcy, asking you to do your own backups and get your servers back. Which means you need to find and pay for another datacenter, switches, san, vmware/veeam licenses and support, etc. But your are still on the hook for paying the leasing monthly fees which used to include Nuvolat's provided software, datacenter, upgrades, support, etc. While they are going away with all the money provided by the leasing company!

We had prepared a lawsuit against Nuvolat regarding the non-delivery of several components and non-payment of the compensation, but they sent their bankruptcy notice the day we were set to file. We are now re-adjusting. The masterminds of this scam seem to be: Jonathan Kos, President, Cory Chamberlain VP Sales and Imran Syed, VP Cloud Services & Delivery.
