Novel racehorse ownership syndication model developed by Michael Behrens features the ability to purchase "micro shares" of racehorse ownership at a cost that includes the capital cost of ownership plus two years of upkeep and training expenses for your horse. This model allows literally thousands of small investors to participate in the excitement and thrill of big time horse racing for only a small fraction of what it would normally cost to purchase ownership shares in a racehorse. After a few years of getting my feet wet in the racehorse ownership business with a couple of "traditional" style syndicates where a relatively small group of owners (e, g., 20) purchase ownership percentages in a certain racehorse partnership (typically a minimum of 3-5%), and then are also responsible for paying their respective ownership share(s) of future upkeep and maintenance expenses, administered on a monthly or quarterly basis, I invested tens of thousands of dollars of my retirement nest egg in horses being offered by MYRACEHORSE. What I didn't think through enough before I made my investment switchover to MYRACEHORSE is something that should have been a front and center consideration in my thinking and that is good customer service, or lack thereof. I experienced the type of customer service you can expect with MYRACEHORSE when I recently made the trip from my home in South Florida to upstate New York to attend opening weekend of the Saratoga Thoroughbred Racehorse summer meet. Early morning the last day I was going to be at the track I called MYRACEHORSE and requested that a representative make arrangements for me to visit one of the horses I own with MYRACEHORSE in her barn. To make a long story short, I was told that they could not accommodate my request. I was with my brother and nephew, both of which have lived in the Saratoga Springs area their whole like, both own horses, and both know their way around the barns at Saratoga as well as anyone and the MYRACEHORSE people wouldn't even give us a barn number for the horse so we could find the horse ourselves. I was totally embarrassed! What's the sense of investing tens of thousands of dollars in a horse(s) if you can't get the opportunity to see it(them) up close and personal. With the traditional racehorse ownership syndicates I have dealt with in the past a request to see one of my horses in the barn would have been accommodated no problem. Live and learn. Sooner or later, companies that fail to provide good public service will pay the price in the marketplace.
