After living in the same home for over 50 years, the thought of moving to a new place was quite daunting for Mom. However, after my Dad passing a few years ago, we had reached a point she could no longer live alone. Our contacts at A Place for Mom were knowledgeable, asked lots of questions and made a number of excellent recommendations. It took longer than expected, but this was due more to Mom reaching the point she agreed the move was necessary. Thank you!
I admit it was a random on a website in my initial search for facilities, but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It allowed me to work through the search process at our own pace (Mom's and mine). Our contact was gentle and caring and during stressful times would just check in on our progress from time to time without any pressure to make a decision until everyone was ready to proceed.
