My Paypal account was hacked and I was charged for 2 orders from CDKeys totaling $799.50. Chase refused to issue a refund because the order was placed from my email. I wrote CDKeys and asked them to help with the fraudulent order. Their response: "We have checked our system and can see that the transactions were processed successfully and an order confirmation email was sent to this email address." When I responded I never received the emails and to please resend, they answered:
"We're sorry, but due to security reasons, we are unable to share sensitive information here.
We recommend contacting your bank or card provider directly and asking them to request this information from us. We will be happy to assist them in their investigation". I don't understand why all of a sudden this was "sensitive information" if they had already sent confirmation emails to me previously? Chase will only contact vendors via telephone. CDKeys would not respond to my subsequent emails requesting a working customer service number so that Chase could contact them.
I made it clear to CDKeys that I did not expect them to issue a refund, and that I only wanted assistance with my fraudulent case. Chase would not credit my account and the entire experience was an absolute nightmare.
