Navigable site, easy to use promo codes, lots of sales. Just wish there were more/better filters when searching for plants, like searching by percentage off or only showing plants within a designated price range.
Reliable service, 1-year warranty, better prices than local nursery, better quality than other online nurseries
Would be easier if I could filter searches by my outdoor growing zone, as well as my patio zone. I would also appreciate if each plant's page included if it's safe for cats and/or dogs; if the ground covers withstood lots of foot traffic; and if the plant is deer-, rabbit-, pest-, and/or disease-resistant. The lack of information on the FGT website has led me to purchase my plants elsewhere. Also, if there were bulk options to purchase supplies and fertilizers, like Root Rocket.
FGT is one of the only places that offers Root Rocket, which I'm always running low on. The "DAD15" promo code and free shipping solidified my decision to purchase through FGT.
I love browsing Fast Growing Trees because they have a wider range of plants that I can't find locally. I've yet to find anyone else who offers plants as big as Fast Growing Trees for the same affordable price. Their customer service is typically quick to respond, helpful, and very friendly. The plants are normally packed pretty well and arrive on time. I was a bit disappointed with my latest purchase since my Meyer lemon bushes arrived with chewed up leaves covered in yellow and brown spots. I've never had an issue with their products with previous purchases (I bought 8 plants from Fast Growing Trees to date!), so I'm hoping it was a rare mishap.
Diane was amazingly responsive and helpful. I especially appreciate that she asked if I needed any further assistance from her before closing out my ticket. This made me feel like she was taking the time to fully listen to me and address my concerns, rather than rushing me away to help the next customer.
Fast Growing Trees has a wider selection of tropical fruit trees that I can't find locally. I haven't found another local nursery, home improvement store, or online supplier that's as affordable. The plants are much bigger and offered for cheaper prices than their competitors. I love that they have a 1-year warranty on most of their plants; It gives me peace of mind when making a purchase with them versus other companies. Their customer service is typically quick to respond and help in redeeming those warranties. They also offer constant sales and discounts to shoppers, which is great at tempting me to buy more plants than I have room for!
I've only purchased lemon plants from Fast Growing Trees so far because I wanted to replace the lemon plants I'd grown (and accidentally killed) from seed. I love the smell of the citrus leaves. After browsing their site multiple times, I'm hoping to purchase more fruit trees and house plants when space allows.
Craftsy lures people in by offering a cheap membership charge. I signed up on October 21,2023 against better judgment. Within the week, I cancelled my premium membership because I did not find anything useful on the site and it is not navigable. Craftsy did not send me a verification email that I had cancelled my membership. I have been receiving $97 charges since then for the premium membership. Their representative Joan claims there aren't any notes on my account, verifies that there hasn't been any activity on my account since October 2021, and states they do not issue refunds. Craftsy charges your account without notice. Some people claim the email they received was embedded in lots of scammy marketing emails. I did not receive any notice from Craftsy, not even in my spam or junk folders. Today, I logged into my Craftsy account to cancel the premium membership again. And again they do not send any documentation to verify that the membership is cancelled. I believe they hope people will forget that they cancelled the membership and continue charging the payment you have on file. They do not take prepaid cards for a reason. Do not give them any payment information.
Tip for consumers:
Craftsy is a scam. They continue charging you for a membership and show your membership is "active", even after you have cancelled.
