I got on Classmates years ago but always just used the free version. It wasn't very useful. They were always sending me emails about people who were not in my class and most I had never heard of. I never signed up for any payment option. Then one day I got a notice from PayPal that they had paid $96 to Classmates! I contacted PayPal and they said it was a recurring charge that I had signed up for. I had not! PayPal was not very helpful. They said there was nothing they could do until they contacted Classmates. I called my credit card company and they credited my account immediately and sent me a new card with different numbers. I have cancelled my Classmates account. I would like to cancel my PayPal account but they won't let me because they consider this an "open claim". This all happened six months ago. They said they can't close it until they hear back from Classmates!
