Okay folks let's review;
If it looks to good to be true it most likely is. I've been on Roomster for a few days because I was dumb enough not to read the review(s) with respect to customer service or real time application (my fault). But anyone I can help in this review, hopefully, will be grateful be us renters are: 1. Looking for a deal, 2. Are on limited resources, 3. Relocating to pursue dreams, 4. Trying to avoid being homeless. Roomster said they have a complaint rating of 0.003%, figuring how much business they are doing and the money they are making should be more like 0.001% which could resolved by providing a legitimate site, with real people offering real properties at real prices.
When you inquire about a room you get limited auto responses or none at all. When on Craig's list you get redirected to their site. And the scam begins. They request you sign up for identity verification.
Roomster couldn't care less if that $25.00 is the difference between eating or finding shelter. They couldn't care less about all the negative postings on this site alone.
Customer service is key. Stay in business long term by be legit and satisfying your customer base.
In southern Cali, these email addresses are referrals to Roomster and if they say go here to verify you'll get shorted $25.00 with a weekly $9.99 renewal fee if you don't cancel prior to renewal.

I've also been contacted by scammers requesting money up front to a site unseen property or showing younger women renting out property. Again be careful this is a predatory site.
