In defense of the review that was placed, first of all i am only stating the truth, i feel it was unprofessional of revitalise to state my personal sensitive information and name etc on social media and reviews,
I will be speaking to management about patient confidentiality and personal data.
I had the surgery over 2 yrs now, in between that time i has infections and pain and swelling,im still waking up with throbbing pain i'm my nose, i've not had any after care or follow up appointments,
I would eventually like to get the issues rectified but i will take my time and not via whatsapp pictures etc,to spk to a consultant face to face and after care is very important.
We haven't disclosed any personal information other than referring to the patient's name. As a part of our full responsibility, to enlighten public opinion, we believe that we have the duty to provide the relevant details about the patient's surgical treatment without delving into any personal details in the most objective and impartial fashion.
We have contacted Ms. Hayes on a number of occasions, following her surgery, after she flew back to the UK, and given her advice about post-operative aftercare. And there have been lots of times our office assistant has engaged with sending text messages to her, giving her in-depth explanations about her procedure. We do not accept any claims that the patient has not been responded to. Furthermore, it is extremely uncommon for a patient to have any pain and swelling with any rhinoplasty after so many years time (the operation was done 2 years ago) since the operation. As we explained to ms Hayes on the day of her operation, we have given the same explanation to her that there are some anatomical limitations involved with correcting her procedure as this was her secondary rhinoplasty and her cartilage and bone structure were not in good shape to start with. As much as the result of the operation is concerned, we believe that we have delivered what we predicted to deliver, so, there was a realistic portrait drawn right before she had the procedure as to what she can get from the procedure, we have explained the same situation to ms Hayes on a number of occasions during the course of her recovery that it is an uphill challenge to remodel her nose to her expectations due to the underlying structure not being strong enough. In line with our revision policy, although we have reiterated on a couple of occasions that by doing a revision, we still wouldn't be able to meet the patient's expectations. We would still welcome our patient to come for a revision by fully accepting the fact that our surgeon would only be able to do the best of his ability to seek to give her partial improvement if not a high degree one. Like all the other patients who had received treatment from our clinic, Ms. Hayes is a special patient for us, nothing would change this fact and we would be happy to see her back at our clinic.
