I am a new mom and having that dreaded problem of having crackled nipples as the little one is not able to suck properly yet. This Lansinoh Lanolin Nipple Cream was a suggested product for healing the crackled nipples here, however, it is too greasy and does not wash off!
It says that the cream can stay on the nipple while baby is breastfeeding, but the ingredients of the cream have animal derived products in them, and I am quite hesitant to leave that on my skin before breast feeding, and I am not alone: https://babiesmommies.com/topic/lansinoh+lanolin+nipple+cream+review

On the other hand the cream really works; it really soothes the crackled areas if you leave them on nipples enough time. However, a newborn breastfeeds every 2 hours and makes that cream a big NO for me.

If this cracking problem happens when the little one has grown a bit and the breastfeeding intervals increased, then it would be a useful product. Though, would that ever happen? I do not know as this problem happens almost always with newborns.
