I realized late in life that I married a narcissist because my mother was also a narcissist. That's how out of all the choices I ended up with the "partner" I had. I had gone to therapy on and off but none of the therapists were well-versed in NPD. I was willing to work on myself but had no idea what I needed to do to heal.
Lisa A. Romano is amazing and offers real tools to help you recover from years of abuse. The 12 week program helped me recognize new memories that fit into the abuse pattern. I learned how to slow things down and observe and challenge my old way of thinking. Her approach was based in science but also recognized the spiritual and emotional parts of healing. I was able to make great progress. It is difficult work to confront all of this but it is worth it.
I made an investment in myself and Lisa A. Romano and then committed the time and energy to get the most out of her lessons. The livestreams were also incredibly helpful and supportive. Sometimes a member would ask a question and that answer was the answer I needed to hear to move foreward. Other times it was my question that got a personalized answer. I made more progress here in 12 weeks than I did in decades of therapy.
