Purchased an electric consumer item from them, when it arrived I opened the box read the instructions and decided it was unsuitable. Immediately tried to return it, refused, company says it is exempt from the distance trading regulations and consumer rights acts in UK. Because the item was on special offer, they would not refund it. Way down the large website is a note to UK customers that they are not covered by distance selling legislation - so why are they selling to the UK? Most consumers are aware of their rights so do not read terms and conditions etc as they know what acts they are covered by.
