When I had a birthday email about reward points added to my account, I was curious as to how many points I had. I have order several pairs of shoes from planet shoes over the last couple years. When I checked I had points worth $40. I was pleasantly surprised. Since I had used my birthday credits at DSW to buy some much needed shoes for my daughter, I was pleasantly surprised I found a great pair of navy sandals for myself in my size using my points from planet shoes.
So I thought. I put my order in, used my points, paid my shipping and waited for 2 weeks. No shoes. When I pulled up my order confirmation and the tracking for the shipping. It said, not shipped.
I contacted customer service. They informed me I could not combine my points. However the website said I could use any and all of my points. They also said I had been emailed to telling me that my order was canceled, and why.
I did not have any emails stating that, and my rewards account showed $1.
When I wrote back I asked for a copy of the cancelation email with the time and date stamp. What I received was an email from the famous Shayla who is the subject of most of these complaints. She did NOT send me a copy of the email, but did state the company had the right to cancel any order.
My birthday reward points were NOT restored to my account.
I will not do business with them again, and I will make sure I tell the friends I recommended them to know that their policies are not clearly stated and that they are willing to lie to back up any claim if they don't want to follow through.
