Update:
Uber Eats Customer Support # 1-*******377
Good luck receiving a satisfactory resolution or a supervisor on the phone but it never hurts to try.
Contact the BBB and file a complaint with them and ask for their help getting your money refunded. You can also contact your financial institution and file a dispute against Uber Eats for a partial or full refund if you were missing items or had food that was inedible and Uber Eats refuses to issue a refund.
I placed an order from Mod Fresh through Uber Eats. My order was 2- entree salads(1 Southwestern and 1 create your own, a cheesy bread and a dessert. I bundled this with an order from The Chicken Shanty. When my order arrived I discovered the Southwestern salad was a mini instead of an entree size and both salads had soggy, rotten lettuce. They were inedible so we threw them out and tried to resolve the issue by clicking on the Help button on the app. Which we discovered wasn't working, so I called Uber Eats customer support. The woman I talked with said she couldn't give me a refund for the cost of the salads which was $24.98. When I asked why she wouldn't give me a reason. I then asked for a supervisor and was told there was no supervisor there. I received an email back today stating that Uber Eats could not refund me because it has been longer than 48 hours since I placed the order, which is not true since the order was placed yesterday, April 10,2024. I called today to try and resolve it and was told they could not refund the cost of the salads. When I asked them why, they again would not give a reason. I asked for a supervisor and they put me on hold came back and said they were trying to find a supervisor and could they put me on hold again, then they came back and said the supervisor would call back because she was busy. I called my credit union to dispute the issue. I just would like my $24.98 refunded to my checking account. I also made a complaint to the BBB and am writing reviews about my experience.
How it is legal to do this, is beyond me. I am not one to let things go without a resolution, especially when it concerns my hard earned money. Never Again will I use Uber Eats.
