Transferred endocrinology care for pre-diabetes and osteoporosis to Dr Shema Ahmad.at BSW, Round Rock, TX. Had been taking Prolia at the Paragon Center in Austin for several years and needed to schedule the bi-annual shot. It took the two nurses responding to my request over a month to get an order from Ahmad. First, they couldn't find the CPL blood test from 5 months ago, then they needed a Basic Metabolic Panel (but they failed to request the A1C), then it took 4 days for them to find the results of the 2nd CPL test and they wanted me to upload into my record. Then they lied and said that I "Could ONLY have the Prolia shot administered at the BSW facility," but what they wrote in my chart was that the doctor ordered it at BSW after I said repeatedly that I wanted the injection at Paragon. Prolia is standard care for osteoporosis. Why is this difficult? Do the nurses receive a bonus for internal referrals, or is it just too much trouble to upload results from outside their system? It is unethical for BSW to insist that tests must be done ONLY at their facility.

This is after they twice cancelled my cancelled my appointments with Ahmad, and I waited six months each time for a new appointment. Ahmad seems good but dealing with BSW is frustrating. And just getting onto BSW MyChart is a pain-- same username and password work on my phone but not on my computer.

This review is looking pretty epic! Nice!
