My 87 year old mother was looking to a buy a gift for a friend during lockdown. I suggested she try "The White Company". Having bought stuff in their shops before, thinking their stuff was reasonable quality. There was a problem with the delivery and message card. My mum called the company to make a complaint but also to let them know what had happened, as they might want to be aware, so it didn't happen again. The woman she spoke with on the "helpline" was absolutely not going to take any responsibility or offer any apology. Doesn't make sense, my mum wasn't after a refund she just thought she should give them the heads up, so the same thing wouldn't happen again (to another customer) Really awful service, wouldn't ever buy anything from there again or recommend (I'd stick to John Lewis)
