If an organiser has only listed their event with Eventbrite then the customer doesn't really have a choice whether to use it or not. I used to think it was excellent, until something went wrong and I realised Eventbrite don't have any helpful customer service! A company not having any contact telephone number or online chat is a major red flag nowadays.

My experience…. An event organiser failed to provide a service, so I requested a refund on the platform.
The event organiser replied stating they weren't able to issue a refund via Eventbrite due to system restrictions, so I contacted Eventbrite's 'support' to ask for help.
Eventbrite sent me this "We reviewed your request and are not able to issue a refund at this time as the event in question does not appear to be cancelled."
They offer no solution. The event organiser has taken my money, not provided the service, and Eventbrite refuse to help.

If there is an alternative to Eventbrite, I would use it.

  • Tommy Hilfiger USA

8/14/21

Tommy Hilfiger's USA online ordering and fulfilment service is not fit for purpose. The online shop is unable to process orders quickly and accurately enough, resulting is shipping times way beyond what is quoted. They clearly don't care that they state delivery times they cannot fulfil.

The ‘customer service' is appalling, with agents unable to resolve issues or offer compensation for problems they've created - an absolute disgrace for a global brand!

The entire experience is shambolic, the Chief Operating Officer should be fired, replaced by someone who's able to improve things.

Most disappointing about this, judging from all the other comments, is that Tommy Hilfiger online just does NOT care.

Shop elsewhere!

Tip for consumers:
If you shop here, expect to wait weeks for your order which may not arrive with everything you've ordered.

  • Lyft

8/8/20

Lyft's customer service team is the worst of any ride-sharing/ taxi company.

Lyft "Support" acknowledged to me via email that my driver's car was in a DANGEROUS condition, putting my life in danger. It as so bad that I even had to shower when I got to my destination as the air-con was broken.

Despite this acknowledgement of negligence, Lyft said they would still charge me the FULL fare, I was not entitled to any refund, full or partial.
In other words, "we are happy to charge you the full amount for completely unsatisfactory service".

Responses from the Lyft "Support" team illustrate that the are uneducated and lack any morals. I'm not sure how these people can sleep at night.

What sort of company operates like this?

Ride with any other company, avoid Lyft.

Sadly AliExpress customer service is non-existent.

It's *impossible* to speak to anyone (which is really frustrating!) and the help section of the website is completely automated.

If you enter a dispute with a seller (and there are lots of sellers with dodgy goods!) then it takes a LONG time for a resolution - at least a month if not longer. So if something goes wrong you're completely powerless, at the mercy of the seller until AliExpress steps in and even then there's no guarantee they will help you.

I've had some good purchases from AliExpress, but when things go wrong you're on your own. You'll probably have to try and reclaim costs from your bank.

My advice would be only to use the site for the absolutely cheapest of purchases because your money and rights are not protected despite what the site says.

  • Viagogo

It's an embarrassment that this company is continuing to operate. It's reputation is appalling and yet it continues to swindle customers every single day.
It has no regard for consumer law in the countries in which it operates and more generally it has no respect for people. It's sole interest is making vast sums of money, at whatever human cost.
I have never known a company to use such a range of dirty tactics to mislead customers. It deliberately positions itself at top of search listings (so unaware customers end up thinking Viagogo is the official ticket seller), the website is filled with tricks to pressure customers into buying quickly, and the customer service is, without question, easily the worst of any company operating in this marketplace. Viagogo doesn't seem to mind telling lies to customers and they make it near impossible to contact them. So when things go wrong, you can do very little indeed.
With a Head Office in Switzerland, they've deliberately made it very difficult for consumers to take Legal action against them.
The UK Government earlier this year said that Viagogo is routinely flouting laws designed to protect consumers and summoned the company (and others) to a parliamentary hearing. Guess what? Viagogo failed to show up (but the other re-selling websites did). I think this tells you everything about how Viagogo operates.
As consumers, if we stand together and use alternative reselling websites we might help to do damage to Viagogo's dominant position and hit them where it hurts - financially!
Governments must act now to close down this business.
