Klarna...when it's good, it's good...until it's not. In my particular situation BNPL is a great option for me. I like to break up payments instead of paying at one time. I had used Klarna for so long, I don't know exactly the amount of years, but it's been at least 5 years or so. I make it a point to pay on time, even when I have trouble with other bills, I make sure they are paid. One time, I had financial issues due to some health issues. I paid them off and was given the opportunity to use them again. Currently, as of a few days to a week ago, I had about $818 purchasing power. That's lower than the actual amount because I had two purchases. Well, the other day, I just happened to go on the app and look around because I was deciding whether to use them to get some items for my dog on Amazon and it said that my purchase power was unavailable. I tried to call someone because I have no outstanding debts with Klarna, but all you get is a bot. The bot said that I had no outstanding debts with Klarna. So later on, my daughter reached out to me and said she can't use Klarna. According to her, it is tied in with a Verizon cell phone bill. I had gotten her a phone with Verizon about three or four years ago. Recently, she decided to add a watch, but for whatever reason, she was not getting control of her bill, so I switched her to another carrier so that she could have a lower bill. The new carrier was supposed to pay off the other carrier. So I get a $400 bill in the mail. I'm confused about the bill because I'm thinking the new carrier took care of that. My daughter said she looked into it and owes about $200 for the last bill and about $200 for the watch. So, this is the reason that Klarna won't let me or her use them? A bill that has absolutely nothing to do with Klarna? I am very angry because I pay my Klarna payments and because I let my daughter get a phone in my name years ago, which she had been paying the whole time she had the phone, up until some months, I don't know much because she paid the bill, I can't use Klarna? I hate companies that despite you having a good paying history with them, they take it upon themselves to penalize you for some other company/bill. So just out of nowhere, my $800+ purchasing power is gone. I gave them a one star for this reason. Be aware, this company can give you a high purchasing power and take it away in no time, whenever they feel like it. I've overall had a good experience with this company, up until now, but other people I know have not been able to get higher purchasing power amounts...but I now, I don't know about Klarna. I used to think they were better than AfterPay and Zip, but I don't know about any of them anymore at this point.
