AlikeList is a great way to find out which businesses are ones that your friends recommend. It's not like other review sites in that recommendations are not anonymous. They come from your network of friends and that adds a dimension of trust to the recommendations.
It's a great idea, but to get the most out of it, you really need your friends to participate, too. Since the site is new, many of my friends don't know about it yet. I think it will only get better over time.
