The EGO string trimmer is powerful and does a good job. This is not the issue. The carbon fiber shaft is supposed to be close to unbreakable. However, because of flawed design - the shaft at the handle, and at the power unit fixture is not reinforced -- it breaks. And when it does, don't go looking for warranty service -- there is none for this defect. After my trimmer dropped from a measured height of less than 4 ft. (43 inches), the shaft broke off right at the handle. The unit was registered and less than a year old. I was informed that there was no warranty service for a broken shaft. Fortunately I was able to make a clean cut, surrendering about 5", and re-insert the shaft, saving the trimmer. Needless to say, I added a protective strip of thin metal to protect against future breaks - who doesn't drop their trimmer from time to time? This product was expensive and the consumer should expect better.

I contacted JustAnswer.com for assistance with a legal matter. I was requested to provide my credit card and home address etc. in order to proceed. The card was rejected as inaccurate. After leaving the site I was alerted by Visa that a charge of $86 had been made to my account by JustAnswer.com and was asked if I wanted a stop charge order, which I authorized. When I complained to JustAnswer.com the response was totally gobbledegook and would have required an hour of my time to document the scam they just laid on me. Consumer beware, this site is unsafe.

Do not provide credit card information.
