My first, and last experience with Coastal Contacts came after my wife asked me to check online for her lenses at a better price. Her optometrist had increased prices quite a bit the past couple of years. After a bit of searching I settled on Coastal Contacts. A day or so after placing the order we got an email from them that the order would be delayed until they received one of the lenses from their supplier. That was acceptable, and they did follow up until the order was shipped a few days later. After a couple of weeks, we received another email. This one wanted to confirm receipt of the order (as if they didn't have tracking, or wouldn't have heard from us by now). Checking the box redirected to another page, this one wanting a review. So I left a short but positive comment and went on about my day. A short time later, we arrived home to discover a barrage of unsolicited junk "Welcome" emails from some overseas review company based in Denmark. I then realized we'd been tricked into "subscribing" to this obvious 'partner' organization. There was no simple way to "unsubscribe" and no way to contact them. They had already used our email address to leave a banner on my wife's Facebook business page. I used the only valid email address I had for Coastal Contacts to tell them what we both thought of their tactics, and then I blocked them and their handoff company with our service provider. I'll definitely never buy from them again.

Being in the clock repair business for decades is an effective way to learn which supplier(s) to use and recommend as well as those best avoided. I've dealt with Roland and his staff at Ronell Clock Company for several years. They keep a good inventory at competitive prices and ship fast at a reasonable cost.
