Went in for double littl toe hammertoe. Had been told surgery needed by long ago surgeon. Warned this assistant- diabetic, polyneuropathy - poor blood cirriculation. I'm reluctant to try at home treatment. An assistant-JS told me I didn't need surgery or in office treatment for a very large, thick deep corn on little toe deforming toe, pushing it into other toesz and deforming them. Told to wear a toe cap for pain. Put tissue between toes or use a pad devise below toes connected to barrier between toes. Must buy all new shoes. I politely asked to treat the cause rather than side effects. Ignored. He seemed stuck believing I was demanding surgery! No matter how many times I said no. If not treated the already high pain level 8+ wakes me, distracts during my days will only grow and be more painful and harder to remove. Toe cap? He went on and on about appearances. I care about Pain.
I'd told him at start of apt I was afraid to remove it myself as my eyesight is poor, (69) hard to bend, twist to see it well enough. If a diabetic foot runs high risk of never healing wounds, raw skin from minor scratches this PA was pushing me to create a deadl5 set up. Diabetes must very aware of feet at all times. Cant stay wet, damp, hot, wrapped, scratched. If id scrapped off healthy skin, would have been a large area wound /unnecessary risk.slow to heal, can be leftcwith permanent open hole in foot, must ne packed with gauze smells of dead /dieing skin. Deformed. Most common, amputation.
This this the deadly situation this JK was setting me up to do. Would a cute little toe cap cover a missing amputated toe?
Why? Is he new? Trained? Board certificated? Ignorant? Didn't care? Let the ol lady lose her feet, she's already old, who cares? That was his overall attitude- dismissive. Before i gave up i asked-who to cut off, what to use? What to use to scrape? Stone? Foot blade? How do I scrape it off? How much? How often? What color? What happens if I scrape off healthy tissue? Ignored. No follow up appointment either. His focus-insisting I didn't need surgery. I hadn't requested surgery, I'd asked for treatment with surgery as a last resort. I asked for base cause of corn, whole he listed ways to treat damage... place a little toe cap, use tissue between the toes, place a pad under/between toes...Js bever addressed the cause of pain on eith toe although I'd told him each little tope was a pain level 7-9 most nights, waking me. Not sleeping. Both toes getting worse. He failed to address the left toe at all. Completely ignored other than- place a cap over it. He was more concerned withappearances.
Happened to speak to an EMT and a RnA, both were slacked jawed speechless. Asked - and this is a reputable office? Did you See his credentials? Did he sat he'd was board certified? Forget about him!don't do it!you're smarter than that quack.
2 previous surgeons from there years ago had performd eseperate occasions., wonderful results. Who is this dangerous man? If I'd followed his instructions my feet could possibly be severally infected whining 4-5 weeks. Hes' dangerous. Are a few glowing reviews to be believed sure, I'd dor actual surgeons. But this man? PleSe don't take a chance, you're worth more. Too many proven great drs. Just don't waste your time., money and life on JS. Lose your foor?

March 24,2024 I called for help with a double ear ache and all over generally feeling bad. Trying to connect was very difficult. Took several trys. Their system wouldn't let me hear the Dr. I explained I have a history of ear infections and am familiar with treatment. He ignored me. Insisted I had a sinus blockage that was affecting my ears. I'm 68. I know my health and my sinus cavity was normal. I also told him I can't take nasal sprays, they make me vomit. He argued. A patient firmly states nasal sprays induce vomiting and he argued and insisted? I gave up. Spoke to my long time pharmacist who agreed the spray would have induced vomiting and would have no affect on an ear infection/inflammation. Asked why that "dr" had prescribed. Waste of money and putting unnecessary chemicals in my body. He hadn't asked a list of meds I take. What if there had been an an adverse reaction or combination? This is dangerous-a man passing himself off as a medical Dr? Who was he? An actual medical Dr or perhaps some sub speciality not accustomed to ordinary issues? He also didn't ask many common questions. This service is questionable as they hired and used this man.
