This site/service starts off well enough, but when you have made up your mind, STOP. Do not give them a credit card because they will add on fees, charges, and extra things you did not agree to and when you complain they will advise to find the itty bitty small print where it gives them the right to change your cancellation dates, add fees and this was the straw that broke the camels back for me, they added 20% of the cost of airline tickets I bought somewhere else to my cruise and then canceled my cruise when I refused to pay them $490 for insurance on airline tickets I had bought directly through the airline. When I refused to pay, they canceled my trip and refused to give my money back. I contacted Princess Cruise Line who acknowledged my cancellation and refunded the money they had been paid but Cruises.com still has $650 of my money will will not give it back. Princess acknowledged the cancellation before the deadline would result in 100% refund but Cruises.com claims they have the right to assess 25% cancellation fee if not cancelled one week prior to the cruise line's cancelation date - despite the fact that the deadline for cancellation is published in bold type on the website, there is some boilerplate buried language on the contact. Then, because the felt they were entitled to more, after I cancelled and demanded my money back, they charged another $100 fee to my credit card claiming they had the right to the "cancellation fee" despite the fact they still hold 25% of my cruise cost that they refuse to refund.

Ms. Alfonzo is the agent, she will lie to you, will promise you everything until you pay then she becomes the least helpful person in the world. The second she gets her commission on your cruise, you are toast. Refused to speak to me, refused to return a call, refused to acknowledge I wanted to cancel, and when I called another number pretended to want to book a new cruise and was transferred to her by the agent - she was rude and basically told me go to stick it before hanging up on me.

I tried to call the corporate office, they were less help that Maria Alfonzo. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

Zoosk is a complete scam. In fact, it is an ongoing give us more money scam. This is how it works - you sign up for free, they show you fake profiles, you get a lot of interest really quick - you cannot see who is interested UNTIL YOU PAY. Now, you pay for a subscription but what they don't tell you is that the other members, (those that are real at least) whom you can now see and message, cannot see your message unless they are paying members - or you upgrade to the next level where anyone can respond to you (this upgrade cost more than the basic membership BTW).

But that is not all - even if you pay and she pays (or you buy the super membership), the system will only allow you 2 messages each. After that, the messages are not delivered so the other person does not know you have responded - unless you pay for an upgrade to get read receipts which, you guessed it, cost more than the basic membership (BTW - we are far beyond the Freemium thing now).

Next, you the system starts begging you to "send gifts" which are little emojis that cost "coins" which you must buy and add to your membership and they are non-refundable, use them or loose them (caveat emptor).

As you can see, Zoosk is an elaborate scheme to rip you off in steps. DO NOT BE MISLEAD by all the positive "paid for reviews" posted by the owners of the site. The "freemium" gets you a glimpse of the system, that is the only thing it does, a glimpse designed to drag you in. You may even get contacted by cute women who are premium members you can contact "for free". THESE ARE THE FAKE PROFILES. Once you pay, those cute women stop responding to you. Then the system sends you email after email telling you someone "viewed your profile". If you click the link to see who, it takes you to the carousel (sort of a deck of profiles, not the profile of the person who allegedly looked at you, she is nowhere to be found). If you click the "X" i. E. "not interested" (swipe left, whatever you want to call it) it sends that person a message that you viewed their profile. DID YOU, REALLY? But to add insult to injury, if you click on the "Heart Emoji (Swipe Right) the other person does NOT get a message. But you can buy coins to fix that!

Finally, if you and the person you like manage to find one another (both of you are now extra double secret probation super ninja members) you can only exchange 2 messages (back to the problem above) The system will not let the other person see you third communication unless you spend coins to see if they have read it. When you buy and spend those coins, the message is forwarded and you get a receipt if it is opened (supposedly).

Basic membership = $30/month ($9.99 if you buy six months in advance so they can bolster the numbers - unfortunately, after a week, most people cancel and delete the app so while the site claims to have millions of profiles, the real and active ones are far less.) Read receipts cost $14.95 per month, to allow others to respond to you is another $11/month, and then there are the coins you will need to purchase so the real price is higher than ever other dating site out there.

Zoosk claims to be the least expensive, in reality, it is the most expensive. DON'T WAISTE YOUR MONEY.

Tip for consumers:
Rip Off Alert. And they store your credit card information too, so you will have to go cancel that at the bank.
