Over the past decade, I have bought many Eileen Fisher sweaters, but the last three I bought literally fell apart after I washed them. Since I have had them for a couple of years, I haven't bothered to send them back. But to gently hand wash a sweater that I really like and have it end up full of holes says much about the quality of the product. I bought Eileen Fisher sweaters not for the look, but because the fabric feels good to touch. I also felt that I was being a conscious consumer when it comes to sustainability. But after three of the expensive sweaters fell apart in my hands, I'm done with Eileen Fisher.
