My experience with travel insurance is that their policies are written in a way that excludes the possibility of wresting any money out of them when one experiences an untoward incident related to travel, and when filing a legitimate claim the company will delay, deflect and bury the insured in paperwork in every imaginable way to avoid paying the insured for a claim. That's why you should buy from Squaremouth. You need an intermediary in your corner to protect your legitimate rights and to press the insurance company to meet their obligations. This was not a theoretical argument for me. We experienced a COVID-19 illness during an international trip that turned our holiday upside down, and the insurance company appeared to be doing everything it could to avoid compensating us. One call to Squaremouth and they were on it--as they promised they would with their guaranteed satisfaction claim. Without them in my corner to pressure the insurance company to stop screwing around and meet their obligation to pay for a legitimate claim, I feel I had no chance of receiving reimbursement. I urge anyone who seeks travel insurance to use this reputable company, Squaremouth, because what matters is not what the insurance company says they will cover, it's whether they'll meet their obligations when an event occurs, and like me, you might very well need a spokesperson to work on your behalf. Squaremouth delivered and they were as good as it gets.
