Having read over a few dozen reviews I'm left wondering why they all seem to be 1 star or 5 stars... next to nothing in between! People hate it with a passion wanting to call their State Attorney General's office on them or the best jewelry seller in the world!
My wife and I have purchased literally hundreds of pieces of jewelry through the many years with them (they documented back 22 years but I'm sure it's been longer... back to ACN days) and are well over 90% pleased with our purchases or customer service related issues. Never once have we had a heated conversation with anybody there and always had our issues resolved.
Just this week I had a very expensive purchase disappear and called in and was assured that if it didn't turn up, they were going to simply replace it... no charge. As it was, our mail delivery lady put it in the wrong box. Point being, they were going to make it right if necessary.
My advice is to try it out, get something you buy from them appraised, give them a chance and make your own decision. If it's not to your standard, go spend more somewhere else because you will not beat their prices.
I give them 4 stars because there is always room for improvement, and I tell them that!
