I knew right at the start that finding a good clinic for hair transplant requires a serious research. There are dozens of hair transplant clinics in Turkey and tons of fake reviews. I knew distinguishing those worth of attention will be challenging. I thought I was good at it but apparently I was seriously wrong. Gold Hair City transplant had good reviews, their Instagram page is full of before and after hair transplant pictures and they were not cheap at all. I was thinking that if I pay more, I would get more. I was wrong.
The clinic has maybe 10 operating rooms where operations are performed simultaneously throughout the day. Teams of young technicians are in charge of almost everything, from the preparation of the operation to the taking of grafts. Only one doctor is in charge of all patients and he does the grafting. Real mass production.
I did two hair transplant sessions there, first one in November 2021 and second one year later. In total, more than 8000grafts were transplanted (certificates attached). They gave me instructions what to do as part of the aftercare, and since I am a disciplined person I did everything in accordance with their advice. At this point, more than one year has passed since second hair transplant and recovery period should be over. As shown on pictures, my donor area is completely destroyed. There is an obvious difference in hair density between donor area and parts from which hair was not taken from. Furthermore, skin tissue is seriously damaged too. Redness is present throughout this period and cannot disappear especially if I expose myself to the sun at any time. If I try to swim, it gets even worse. After exposing myself to salt water, redness is visible even from 20m away.
Hair density in transplanted area is really low (as seen on pictures). After two sessions and more than 8000grafts, results should be astonishing. Definitely not like this.
I was complaining about my situation to the hospital at first, they ignored me and gave me some advice such as putting lotion on my head. Off course that didn't help. Once I published my comment here, hospital representatives tried to blackmail me by offering "help" but only if I delete my review first with disclaimer that any signs of improvement can be anticipated just after six months.
Ultimately, I went to Istanbul one week ago to see their doctors in person to find solution to fix damage they made to me. Doctors admitted results are irreversible and CANNOT BE FIXED! They suggested putting a TATTOO on my head in order to camouflage damage they caused with remark that is the only way this can be "fixed".
Therefore, after two years of agony now I definitely know damage they made cannot be fixed. Cannot believe I even paid for this. I hired a lawyer and now we are in the process of collecting evidence and doctors opinions to make a lawsuit against the hospital. I don't want to let this go just like that.
