I needed a prescription for amoxycillin for strep throat and their website suggested $20 per month (you have to search the very small print through a near impossible to see link to see it will be billed at $240). Billable after the service is provided. I connected with their bot and told them what prescription i needed. After being told it is not an immediate service and would take 5 hours I told the 'person' to cancel my request. There was no consult or diagnosis needed as I knew what I had (strep throat) No prescription was ever given. Imagine my surprise when I find I had been billed $240 midway through this 'consultation'. I never received a prescription so there was no service provided. After multiple emails which the bot answered exactly the same (no refunds, you were given a consultation and a prescription) it was escalated when I said I was referring to BBB and licensing bodies. Finally heard back and was given a $165 refund. No chance to find out why $165. It was a take it or we wont give you anything response. What a scam. Looking at their online reviews (which I didn't before since I was so horribly sick) there isn't anything positive about this site and whatever 'service' they might provide. Beware!
In Canada it is illegal to not have an opt out for receiving emails. When Lifepoints was contacted the answer received was, "too bad, cancel your membership then". They have been reported to the CRTC and BBB.
