Normally I would not write anything bad about a business as I know that sometimes things happen and mistakes happen, but I have to say, I will never ever take my dog to Snug Pet Resort again. I will list a few reasons why before I mention that I've spent a lot of money at Snug since 2013. Reason 1: I just picked my dog up from Snug yesterday after leaving him there for 5 days of boarding. My dog is a Chow and I knew as well as they did at Snug, that he can be hard to handle. I ask them every time I drop him off if they're ok with him being there, and if he's ok as well. They told me he's fine and he loved it. I had to question that because he always seem reluctant going back there when I drop him and and he is eager to get out of there when I pick him up. Anyhow, I picked him up and they said he did great and loved being in the suite. He seemed different in the car to me, no energy, was unusually thirsty, and he lost a few pounds. When I brought him home, he wasn't the usual high energy dog that he normally was. He kept whining to me, so I figured maybe he needed to go poo. He definitely needed to go to the bathroom, and had massive diarrhea with blood the entire time. Now I know why he was thirsty, it was because he was dehydrated from having diarrhea all this time. The people at Snug didn't inform me of his diarrhea at all. I did see that he had some in his suite when I was viewing him from the live camera. By the way, I was watching him all day throughout the day, and they were erratic with the feeding and they would take him out only a couple times a day for 5-10 minutes, then they'd leave him in his suite again, all day. He was miserable. Now my dog is weak, not himself, he won't eat, his poop is better because I gave him medicine, but he still has blood in it, and he has NO ENERGY AT ALL, he is not himself, and he's very unhappy. He also won't eat anything. He can barely walk. I am so angry and disappointed at Snug. I knew something wasn't right every time I drop my dog off, more because I don't feel that they treat him well, based on his behavior, and I feel like they neglect him. Reason 2: They're supposed to give him a mini training every time I have him in boarding but it doesn't seem like they do, because he comes back the same. I enrolled him in the training program there TWICE, each time was for a few weeks. They promised me they would follow up with the training and they never did. Reason 3: It seems like every time they try to charge me on more than what is supposed to be billed. 75% of the time when I had to pay, it was always more than what it's supposed to be. This time, they tried to charge me on past charge of $167 that they told me wasn't paid last year, which is odd, because I ALWAYS pay the full amount every time, and believe me, they make sure you pay the correct amount due every time because it seems like it's all about money to them. I can't speak for everyone, I do feel like they will do or say anything nice and sweet about your pet, because they just want your money. Snug is not cheap! If they can't handle my dog, I wish they'd let me know so I can try and take him somewhere else. Now I have to pay even more to take my dog to the vet to see if he's ok because he's not eating and he's lost about 15 lbs. He's weak, unhappy, and all he does now is sleep because he has no energy to do anything else. He can barely drink from his water bowl. I am SO angry and dissatisfied with Snug. I will NEVER take my dog there again. Other people may have better experiences with them, which is great. I'm just sharing my experiences and I will never give my money to them ever again. Our pets are like our kids, we want them to be treated well when we drop them off, not come back weak, sick, and not themselves. I will not drop my dog off at a place that's already costly, and then have to spend even more money on getting him back to health after I pick him up because he was poorly taken care of at Snug.
As of now my dog is in critical care at an emergency pet hospital.
