They charge you $15 and you ven charge other cards on the account like thieves.

Amazon has suspended my account and I lose all my bonuses and prime membership because I had my credit card company challenge a phony audible.com charges.
I never signed up with them and yet I looked at my credit card and there was a year of charges at 1499 a month I challenge this and canceled my credit card. I had a lot of work changin all other my accounts guess what, it happened again. I canceled again and put on my wifes credit card Ive got another 1499 charge. Nothing is free with Audible. Customer service is the worst you will ever experience. They will never sort anything out to your satisfaction, they will ignore your emails and hang up on your phone calls. It doesn't matter to them if you are a long term member and high end user, if you have a problem they can't or won't fix they will just ignore you, waste/take your time and money and move on to the next sucker who signs up.

I think it depends on the membership you select. Mine is a monthly charge.
