It is also my opinion that many of the leads are bogus. Phone numbers did not reach anyone, or had messages that seemed designed to just dissuade you. Folks you reach are not looking for what you have to offer. The site is inferior, confusing. They suggest normal pricing and yet their clients want to pay ridiculously low sums. They promise guidance dealing with their special (nonexistent) clientele that they do not deliver. They do not follow through on their promises, while repeatedly sending you confusing emails that you are not using them, even when you are. They offer a get hired guarantee, and falsely claim you have been hired when you have not been hired. In my opinion Bark is a total scam, at least in my field: photography. I wonder if even the many positive reviews from other businesses are not also scams, false reviews. No one in my area has ever heard of them. I am disappointed I was dumb enough to fall for their very appealing scam, after they pursued me through my website FOR MONTHS. BUSINESS OWNERS BEWARE. They will solicit you for months and offer you everything, but do not come through once they have your money. I will now be spending all the time I wasted responding to leads and navigating their weak promo page doing something much more fruitful: reporting them to everyone. SCAM

I approached a lead that had come back to me saying she couldn't think about personal training at the moment as she had other things to sort. This seemed a little odd to me as the lead was supposedly less than a day old.

When I questioned her as to whether her need was legit, she said it was but that she had never heard of Bark.

She had been looking for a PT previously via other avenues, but a death in the family had put that on hold.

So, it begs the question, if she hadn't put her details on Bark, then where did Bark get them from?

Every lead we send through is posted by a customer that is actively looking for a professional and places a request or has used us in the past successfully to find a professional and returns. Customers enter their own details with regards to the job requirements and provide their own contact details to find professionals.

We get 1000's of requests daily and due to this we do rely on a system to vets the leads, its not flawless so some requests do slip through the cracks.

You can't, just as you can't tell whether someone is just seeing how the service works, nor whether it is someone paid by Bark to post fake jobs. Bark still get your points (money) so why should they care?
