It's because the positive customer reviews are almost certainly fake. Look at the dates. Look at the volume of reviews. Approximately 100 positive customer reviews of Bark have appeared on Sitejabber between early December 2019 and today (late January 2020). Compared to the number of reviews they received prior to December 2019, that is just an astounding number of reviews. This is not normal.

Professionals get frustrated because Bark does not do a good job of qualifying those who post their jobs. Bark charges very high amounts for service professionals to submit to jobs they do a piss poor job of qualifying, and those service professionals end up feeling scammed. Most of the people on Bark are window shopping for service providers, they are not serious. And Bark needs to do a much better job of providing quality leads.
