Bark don't verify whether any of the customer tel numbers actually work and most of the leads are poor quality so they won't answer anyway.

Save your money, honestly.

I have only used Bark for a couple of weeks but I can safely say that this is all nonsense. While many of the leads come from time wasters they are certainly NOT fake. I have made and kept appointments with a substantial number of the people who are asking for my services. Some of them have not thought through their request, some have made other arrangements, some like to "take their pick" of available offers. The conversion rate is not brilliant, but I work with other agencies which have similar problems. There are time wasters using all sorts of agencies. It's the nature of the beast.

Because Bark do not qualify any leads, they have no idea what clients are actually looking for or if they are real.

They are not fake numbers they just dont answer or reply to your emails.

This has happened too many times.
Rated people is a much better site.

They are a scam company. Local numbers to make you think they are local but all based in London.

Hi Patricia,

I can understand why looking at some of the reviews, you could easily come to this conclusion. However, a very small percentage of leads have incorrect contact details and its something that we cover professionals for.

Every request is posted by customers that are actively looking for professionals. Customers provide their own details about each job and their contact details. On occasion, customers do make mistakes when entering their contact details and it slips through our system. When customers have provided incorrect contact information, professionals can contact our customer success team who will issue credits back to your Bark.com account inline with our policy.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact that team here, they will be happy to help.

You can contact us by phone or email: team@bark.com

Kind regards

The Bark Team

I'd run away from Bark. I had never heard of them until I got an email from a "potential client" asking for a quote on my photography services but guess what - I DO NOT OWN A BUSINESS OF ANY KIND AND AM SURE NOT A PHOTOGRAPHER. They appear to be blasting people with emails they THINK might own a business trying to get them to sign up. If you click on anything from them, it only confirms your email is real and then they can resell it on spam lists but that's another story. (I did my research on them!) Most of the numbers are fake though because the clients are fake. If you're a business then post on social media, post on classifieds, or maybe Angie's List or something but not Bark.
