Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from LawnStarter staff and previous consumers.
I believe they are a legitimate company that does a very poor job of customer service
I have spent nearly $200 and my yard still looks like trash. Find someone else to do your yard. These people charge for work they never complete!
LawnStarter.com does not employ lawn guys. They use contractors that might be in the area and willing to do the work. Neither are responsible for property damages like sprinklers, shattered windows, etc.
So far, my experience has been good except for annoying emails & notifications. I'm in Austin, TX and have services bi-weekly. I've had 2 communications to delay services (rain and upcoming mow moved after Christmas day) and both are reasonable. My old service was closed on holidays and delayed for inclement weather as well. The quality of work has been very good so far. I may just be lucky to have a good crew in my area. I had used this service a few years ago in a different area of town, and the quality of work was not as good. I think location matters.
I really can't answer for others, but the lawn care was a gift, for the holidays, for my husband, and he loves it. They come every 2 weeks and do an excellent job.
