DONNA, I REPLACE THE FILTER BY ASKING MY SUPPLIER, THEY USUALLY ARE VERY ACCOMADATING AND GIVE ME ONE. LINCARE, NORCO, AND SUPPLIER WILL REPLACE IT. I ALWAYS CLEAN THE VENTS MYSELF, BUT I LET THE COMPANY REPLACE IT.

I've had my large oxygen concentrater for approximately 7 years and they have never cleaned mine either. I clean the little foam filter very often but am sure it needs to be vacuumed on inside!

The external filters are easily accessible in most home units... In 9 years, the only thing LinCare did was to check for oxygen flow, and NEVER cleaned the inside of unit... even though it was noisy, and I was getting residue in my canula.
