It is, unfortunately, a waste of time to write ahead to women you want to meet. Often, they do not get the letters, and you are just spinning wheels. Go to an AFA office in China in person, or in Colombia, and show the staff there the women you want to meet and they will set up the meetings. I met my wife this way (Colombia) and we have been very happily married for almost 3 years. The system works for the guys who GO, not the guys who write! However, know that I tried writing first my first couple of trips because it seems logical... but it does not work. After that, my modus operendi was to let the agency staff know, about a week before my arrival, what girls I wanted to meet and when I arrived, they had appointments set up, sometimes as many as 4 in a day. I went each trip by myself, not as a tour, and spent 3 weeks, first week just dating and second and third narrowing in on the two best prospects. Good luck. Doug H
As a woman I have used the site and found my husband, so it worked for me. I did get a lot of letters from the free sites and the virtual mail but could not respond to all, and I speak English, so much worse for those that need translations. It is much easier to respond via the site when the office calls and translates the letters and you can just tell them what you want to reply. I think the men are much more serious that use the regular site too. But if I were you, especially since you are in China, I would go to the office and ask them to introduce you to the ladies you want to meet. Why waste time writing when you can go and meet them in person, you will save money and time.
