Here’s what consumers have asked with answers from Peragon Enterprises staff and previous consumers.
Hi Beverly - Thank you for your interest in a Peragon truck bed cover! Here is the answer to that question from our Features page (https://www.peragon.com/features/weather-performance/): "While no retractable or folding cover is waterproof, our automotive-grade EPDM rubber seals shed water to maximize protection for your cargo and minimize water in the bed." From our FAQ page (https://www.peragon.com/faq/): "As with all retractable truck bed covers, you will get water seepage along the sides and, of course, around your tailgate. If the cover sits for an extended period in a steady rain, you’re going to notice leakage. The aluminum panels are sealed against each other with automotive quality EPDM rubber seals. Retractable covers offer unmatched flexibility for hauling and security, but they are not waterproof. They require some common sense when packing, putting items like tools or electronics into totes for extra protection. That’s the straight answer, and don’t believe a company that tells you otherwise." We hope that helps!
Hello Steve! You can install a Peragon cover on your 2016 Nissan Frontier without removing the Utili-Track. However, not all Utili-Track accessories can be used when our cover is installed. Our Quick Clamp mounting option is not compatible with the Utili-Track, you'd have to use our standard drill-on mounting brackets.
Hi Brian - It all depends upon how well the liner fits against the wall of the truck bed. The looser the fit, the more likely some modifications will be required. Should that be the case, we will be happy to work with you to determine just what those modifications are at the time of installation.
Hi Ric - Each panel is completely isolated from the next with a rubber seal that prevents any metal-to-metal contact. We dislike rattles as much as you do! Our customers routinely tell us they can't hear any noise from their Peragon cover. It is possible under the right conditions of dirt / dust / moisture / vibration that you might hear a squeak, but it isn't normally an issue with our cover.
Hi Clyde - Thank you for your interest! We sponsor and participate in a few truck forums.
