When my 30 day free trial period expires for video recording, what will actually happen and what will I still get with my Ring Pro system?

Hi Vince,

Great question! Once your 30 day free trial period expires, you'll still receive real-time video alerts on your smartphone that you can view once answered, as well as have access to Live View. You will not be able to view/download any past recordings without subscribing to one of the Protect Plans. I can tell you what happens. The cams become mostly useless. The motion detection does not start video recording, because there is nowhere to record it to. So by the time you answer the alert on your mobile device, unlock it and choose to view the event, it has passed and you have no video store to go back and see who/what it was. It renders it pointless, especially if you had any crooks you wanted to catch. Ring could EASILY stream the 15-30second clip to your phone, or to local storage over YOUR wifi but they want to hold you ransom to buying their cloud storage. It is very poor marketing and productisation.
