The State Contractors License Board is in full investigation of Gardner Pool now that they refused to repair and replace the work that was done. We had another pool company review the work and even try to help settle this litigation but now a forensic pool company recommended by our lawyer will do a full investigative report. Thank goodness they replied to a BBB complaint to further bury themselves while trying to blame us for the shoddy work, saying that the client (my husband and I) demanded a 9" coping on a 12" pool, as if we would know what the heck they are talking about. The mastic joint was missing between the pool and the coping and the fill that needs to be placed between the coping and the pool was not done. This is necessary to prevent the pool from cracking from expansion which is why we have pool tiles popping off and a contractor they sent out was the first to alert how serious the lack of workmanship was. We have the time and money to wait for our repairs to be done, while the State now gets to fully audit their company for contracts, insurance, workman compensation, employee review and every detail to see really how they do business. Bad news is that we are not the only one and we have had two other people reach out to file claims with the State Contractors license board also. The State requires a bond which protects consumers from faulty work if the contractor doesn't repair it which makes it impossible to retain a bond which is a requirement to be licensed. The State Board can also can punish by revoke their contractor license. Hopefully my review will prevent this from happening to you and I will keep you updated on the process.
