On 10/2/22 I went to the Norridge, Illinois store for a spool of black thread. Upon checkout I was told the total price including tax was $10.39! I said to the clerk…"this is for a spool for thread" and she said "the prices went up," that she would give me the coupon discount price, now $6.43! Needles to say I left the store, drove to Walmart and purchased a spool of Coates & Clark black thread, 500 yards, for $2.99; Hobby Lobby wanted $3.49 and as they are 6 blocks from Joann's would have gone there, but they are closed on Sunday. No more shopping at Joann Fabrics for me…. From now on H. L. or Walmart for my sewing supplies and fabric! Shame on Joann's!
