We have been subscribed to thebestdumptrailers.com for over a year and have found huge value in their dump trailer rental business guides - we recently started our own dump trailer business using their information. Most recently I learned about to maintain and fix my hydraulic pump in our trailers... I've never gotten any spam from them or anything... seems like a competitor giving 1 star... shame on them.
Posts scam scare messages on other company's contact pages to generate fake traffic: "hi! It's been a while since our last conversation, but I just saw something online about edirectlifeinsurance.com and felt it necessary to reach out. It looks like there's some rumors circulating that could be potentially damaging. Understanding how easily stories can get out of hand and wishing not you to be taken by surprise, I decided to notify you. Here's where I found the info: https://www.thebestdumptrailers.com/.../ My hope is it's all a misunderstanding, but I thought it best you should know! All the best to you, Ty" What's likely going on is they (or someone they hired) is trying to generate traffic to their website to game the google algorithm into thinking their site is more popular than it really is by tricking businesses into thinking some left a negative review. So this is karma. You trick people with fake reports of negative reviews, you earn a real one.
I'm a webmaster and one of my clients with a completely unrelated site just got an email from these nitwits purporting to be about an "alarming rumour" about their site - with an ibit.ly (obscured) link to their site, to "find out more." Not ok. They're either utter fools who hired some drive by "SEO" outfit or doing this knowing it's not ok. Either way, I'd never deal with them now, though the likelihood of me or my client ever needing a dump trailer is close to nil. As another reviewer said…karma.
