I signed up for Match UK a year ago, hoping to find a serious relationship. I have been extremely disappointed with the experience. I signed up for 6-months (to take advantage of the cost savings of a longer membership), as month-to-month is crazy expensive. I was not paying attention (which I am sure is Match's plan), so my membership auto-renewed. Customer Service were not willing to correct this for me. In addition to the basic monthly subscription fee, there are additional fees for features like read receipts and allowing non-subscribers to contact you. Women typically are NOT paid subscribers, so this latter account addition is necessary if you even have the remotest of communicating with someone. Unfortunately, this opens the door to scammers being able to contact you. I am constantly being contacted by account that are clearly fake, with no real information or a single stolen photo. Also, nearly every profile I have contacted has also turned out to be a scammer. I report these profiles to Match UK, but they don't seem to do anything about the majority of the ones reported with their 3-dots method. I have now had to resort to screenshots and emailing my complaint to Match UK Customer Care. Customer Care replies to my email that it has been forwarded to their Moderation Team. This I assume is the same team that is unable to deal with the sheer volume of fake profiles getting on to the platform. It is also probably the same team that is not even reviewing profiles before they go live. Here are some examples of my negative experiences with Match UK: * I was contacted by a profile that claimed to be a 45-year-old woman from London. However, the profile photo was of a young beautiful woman (not 45), and the person communicating with me was clearly a man (whose native language was not English). I reported this profile to Match, but they still have not take any action. I continued to be contacted by this profile, as well as other fake profiles. I did not block this account, so I can monitor if Match takes action. Blocking an account will just leave the account there to take advantage of someone else. * I was matched with a woman who claimed to be a successful businesswoman. However, when I met her in person, she was unemployed, living on benefits, had 2 small children, and could not speak English very well. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Match UK, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a serious relationship. I find the number of fake profiles to be staggering, and the quality of the profiles to be poor (like profiles are not reviewed). I also found the pricing, with add-ons, to be very expensive.

25 years ago Match used to be my dating site to go to but now it is infested by fake profiles and I actually became one of their fake profile main reporting members, especially because they have tons of profiles of socalled women in their twenties, thirties and forties who target older men in their sixties.
It is a miracle if one finds a real person in this site.
They ought to be more selective and not accept anyone as a member without first prequalifying them properly. For the kind of money I pay, I expect them to do a better job but they do not.
The site has recently changed its setup. You can no longer search through members without having to like or dislike others first, rather than being able to browse and make a judgment on who you wish to contact first. It's now a crap version of tinder and lost the advantages it used to have.

The changes limit access to other users and deliberately make it more difficult to find the person you are most compatible with.
The website looks really impressive and professional. The prospective partners/matches soon attract your attention. Unfortunately they are fake profiles. So don't build your hopes up and waste money.

Don't be sucked into paying for extra services
WARNING! If you think that suspending your profile also means suspending your payments, think again! You sign up to a 6 month contract and although you can suspend your profile, the payments do not stop, which means that if you were to suspend your profile after 2 months and then look to reinstate it 4 months later thinking you have 4 months remaining to use, in fact you will find that you have no time left at all!
This fact is well hidden and they will NOT refund you.
There also seems to be a lot of fake profiles. I found EHarmony to be much more user friendly and honest

Don't waste your time on here, full of men looking to hook up. It's more of a site for casual dating attracting men that want something casual under the pretence of something serious.

Paid and have been without being blocked out of the site. Having now dealing with PayPal to deal with getting my payment to compensate. This site is not trusted
Absolute cheats! In the over two years I have been on match I haven't had any relevant messages come back and just this morning an auto renewal was done where £77 was taken form my account even though I cancelled my subscription last year. In the process of demanding a refund. Steer clear of them!

Became a unpyaying member on match.com but you can only look at people and that's it. It came up that I got several views of my profile but the site will not let you see who they are until you pay.
I also received two messages. When I went to view them, the site blocked the name and picture of the sender, and again the site said I had to pay to view.
1 month subscription cost £39.99.
Scam - try and go any of theses sites and get any truthfull dirscription about where you live and the people you talk to never get back or you get blocked of site if you try and complain.
You chat away, so i ask a simple question about my area as a test they have no clue and stop replying lol...
Total rip off... scam
