Don't expect a full refund or talk to a nice person on the support group. He refused to give me his name, tried to give me half my money back because I cancelled and did not apply for any grants and wanted to argue and get nasty and said you can't fix stupid and hung up
The processing fee is for them to keep while they send you to a site that have other sites you can go on with the same options as the original site. Im disappointed in myself for not seeing it for what it is.
The website is extremely cluttered, not user friendly, and difficult to navigate. It does not allow you to unsubscribe easily. I was charged for a number of months without having ever used the services - while I kept trying to get out of it, and finally when calling customer service on a date of renewal charge, I was not refunded the full amount for the upcoming month and was told they were being more than courteous by refunding me anything. The customer service number listed on the website is also not the actual number for customer service! I had to dig on Google for it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND subscribing to this supposed "service" and as others have said, all they do is connect you to other websites.
Read my 4/15/23 review of USA Grant Applications. This is the new name for business.
They called me after I excited before purchasing subscription. Very convincing. Have recorded conversation.
Tip for consumers:
Grant search website
My husband and I lost everything including our workplaces in the Lahaina fire.
I somehow got directed to their website when I was looking to get help from FEMA.
Not realizing it wasn't FEMA because of the hell we have been through the past 5 days!
I filled out an application for what I thought was for disaster assistance. Upon submitting the application, it required a payment of $29.95.
I fully admit I wasn't thinking (FEMA wouldn't require payment for assistance) when I paid it.
My problem/issue arises when I called them to let them know the circumstances and that I made a mistake.
I said I'm sorry but I need every penny because we are now homeless and unemployed. I asked if they would refund the $29.95.
The first call, when I asked for a refund, I was transferred then was hung up on.
The second call she tried to get me to apply for another program/grant.
I explained that I need every penny in my account now, I did it by mistake, please understand I lost everything.
She said she was trying to help by offering other programs I could apply for.
I said I didn't want to apply for another program and please refund me.
She got frustrated and hung up.
The third call, I told her (different woman) that I notified discover to dispute the charge.
She then agreed to refund the charge and then told me very rudely, that I had better call them back and tell them that I was refunded the charge.
She then told me, if it's disputed it will cost the company money and it wasn't their fault to begin with it was mine.
After I got off the phone I was in tears.
She is worried about a bank charge for the dispute!.
When my husband and I just lost our home, belongings, our workplaces all while we had to evacuate on our own from Front St. In downtown Lahaina, with our shirts over our face because of the smoke. We were lucky but some of our O'Hana are still missing.
USA funding applications has at least two women who work in customer service who were rude and ignorant to me. That is who those women are or the directives for the companies customer service policies are unscrupulous and devious!
I made all three calls consecutively to *******837 on 8-14-23 starting about 12:53 PM HST.
These calls are recorded and should be given to the CEO at the corporate headquarters where these women work.
My name is Valerie Gisel and
*******651 is the phone I called from.
